I'm a multi-skilled translation and localization management professional with a proven record of sound, results-driven leadership and talent development across different industries, chiefly entertainment and online journalism.
I find my passion in editing and translation, and I have a greater passion for building teams and supporting them in doing things I cannot do as well as them.
Since 2017, I have been managing localization services at Pixelogic Media (Cairo, Egypt), leading and managing full-time staff and freelancers spread across localization (subtitling and dubbing), quality control, project management and digital media departments.
I joined SasaPost.com, an Arabic online news and analysis website, pre-launch, worked with the team on launching the website and its additive services. In addition to writing and editing, I had led the Translation Department for about two years.
I am interested in the intersections between language and technology, and I am currently self-studying Natural Language Processing and coding in Python.
I dabble with music learning the oud, and I would very much welcome any invitations to concerts and conversations over coffee (make sure you pick a really good place!), so feel free to reach out!
